These are all the famous (infamous?) people Glenn looks like, according to a really cheap iPhone app. Castro I can see, but Patrick Stewart?

Ole Miss RUF is coming to Alpine today. We couldn’t be more excited, and to make them feel more at home we’re transforming the team sports field into the grove.

Golfing in Mentone is not the same as golfing anywhere else. I’m going to start recommending an afternoon on the links to anyone with a long night out and a strong survival instinct.
The video doesn’t quite do this Jurassic turtle justice. It hissed at Glenn.

I think he’s got bionic ears.
Jason Meadows, referring to Kent Kirby’s unusually good sense of hearing. -
BIRTHDAY WISHES AND OLD FRIENDS
So, today is Mr. O’s birthday. Yes, if you hurry, you can still post a “Sunday School” birthday wish on his facebook page (everyone else, except you, has done so already).
In lieu of gifts, “O” wished for us to fly in his good friend Dick (Cheney of course). Obviously, we did exactly what “O” wanted us to do and flew the former V.P. into camp. I gave him the $134 tour of camp, and Weldon sent him off the V Swing.
(Editors Note: I meant to post a picture of “O” and Dick Cheney, but I posted this picture of “O” and Sawyer on accident. Whoops!)
Happy Birthday, Mr. O!

Alpine Yoga?
Yes. The rumors are true. Jason Meadows, Jason Owen, Bully, and I are doing Yoga together as a part of our off-season P90x training. “Training for what?” you’re asking.
LIFE.
With the combined flexibility of the nights-off schedule in the summer, and the inner peace of Longbow at rest hour, the four of us make tranquility look stressful every Thursday.

It usually looks nothing like this. Does this guy look like Sean Penn to anyone else? Maybe if Sean Penn was a G.I. Joe and you put his legs on backwards?
Enjoy school. We’re enjoying Mentone. More useless semi-entertaining facts about our lives to follow.
Namaste,
Weldon

The Bend in the Road
Welcome to The Bend in the Road, your source for Alpine inside jokes, updates from Mentone, and news about our travels to a town near you. Think of it as staff notes for the off-season.
Make sure you hand sanitize after you touch that keyboard. Stay tuned for more updates.
For rapids that flow.
